TFI Leap Card Kilkenny
Now you can travel on the Kilkenny City routes, operated by City Direct on behalf of Transport for Ireland, for as little as €1.60 with a TFI Leap Card.
Route KK1 runs from Loughboy Retail Park to the N77 Roundabout and serves Upper Patrick Street, McDonagh Junction, and Castlecomer Road.
Route KK2 runs from Purcellsinch to St Luke’s Hospital with stops at Dublin Road, Newpark Shopping Centre, McDonagh Station, Nowlan Park, and Loreto.
The routes share a path through the city centre, serving Parliament Street, Market Yard, and John Street Upper.
Each route operates every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday, with late night services on Friday and Saturday. Services on Sunday operate every hour.

Adult Leap single fares are up to 30% cheaper than cash single fares and Young Adults and Student Leap Card holders can also avail of 50% discounts on participating commercial bus operators. Further details on how to get the discount and the most up-to-date list of participants can be found here
You can use a TFI Leap Card to travel on all commuter & rural services operated by Bus Éireann in Kilkenny.
There is no Leap discount for single fares purchased on Expressway services but TFI Leap Card may be used as a convenient method of payment.
There’s good news for TFI Local Link customers also, as they can now also benefit from cheaper travel when purchasing their tickets with a TFI Leap Card on TFI Local Link Kilkenny Carlow Wicklow services.
TFI Leap Cards can be topped up using ticket machines available at selected stations and at Leap agents around the area.
