Using Leap Card with Private Operators

Leap Card can be used to pay for trips on the following private bus services:

Ashbourne Connect (Dublin to Ashbourne)

Collins Coaches (Dublin to Monaghan)

Leap Card can now be used on the Collins Coaches’ Dublin Commuter Service to purchase Single and 10 Journey Tickets using Travel Credit on your Leap Card. You must have sufficient credit on your Leap Card before you purchase a ticket from the driver.

Matthews.ie (Grange Rath - Bettystown - Laytown – Dublin )

Leap Card can be used to pay for trips on the Matthews Grange Rath – Bettystown – Laytown – Dublin route.

On boarding the coach you should show your card to the driver. Hold your card against the driver’s Leap Card Validator,  state your destination to the driver and the flat fare will be deducted from the Travel Credit on your card.

Swords Express (Dublin to Swords)

Leap Card can be used on all Swords Express services.

Single journey fares and ten-journey tickets are available to purchase on Adult and Student Leap Cards; while Child Leap Card holders can avail of single journey fares.

You can purchase your ten-journey ticket on the bus. Ensure your card has been topped up sufficiently before boarding the bus.

Wexford Bus

Leap Card can be used in and around Wexford on all Wexford Bus  services including the routes below:

  • Route 340:  Wexford to Waterford via New Ross
  • Route 740:  Wexford to Dublin City & Airport via Enniscorthy & Gorey.

Wexford Bus Connect Services:

  • Wexford to Castlebridge route
  • Wexford to Rosslare Strand route
  • Wexford to Kilmore Quay route
  • WX1 Wexford Town route as per map below

All tickets can be loaded onto you card using its Travel Credit balance or by using cash to load the ticket onto your card.
