TFI Leap Card Types

You can purchase any of the below TFI Leap Cards online here. To purchase a generic Adult or Child card you can also visit one of 2,500 TFI Leap agents nationwide. If you’ve already applied for your card, you can check on the order status, here. TFI Leap Cards can be used on participating public transport services and on selected commercial bus operators.

Adult

  • Can be used to pay for an adult fare.
  • Can be ordered online or from a TFI Leap agent.
  • A deposit of €5 with a minimum top up of €5 is required when purchasing.
Adult Personalised

  • This card is non-transferable and can only be used by the person whose name and photo are printed on the card.
  • These cards can be loaded with Monthly or Annual TaxSaver tickets, travel credit and any other travel ticket.
  • A deposit of €5 with a minimum top up of €5 is required when purchasing.
  • These cards can only be purchased online.
Child 5 -15

  • For children between 5 and 15 years old, up to their 16th birthday.
  • Can be used to pay for a child fare.
  • A deposit of €3 with a minimum top up of €5 is required when purchasing.
Child 16-18

  • For children between 16 and 18 years old, up to their 19th birthday.
  • This card is non-transferable and can only be used by the person whose name and photo are printed on the card.
  • A deposit of €3 with a minimum top up of €5 is required when purchasing.
  • These cards can only be purchased online.

Young Adult 19-25

  • Can be used by anyone who is 19 to 25 years old, up to their 26th birthday.
  • This card is non-transferable and can only be used by the person whose name and photo are printed on the card.
  • A deposit of €5 with a minimum top up of €5 is required when purchasing.
  • These cards can only be purchased online.

  • For those aged between 16-18 or 26 and over who are in full time education.
  • This card is non-transferable and can only be used by the person whose name and photo are printed on the card.
  • A deposit of €5 with a minimum top up of €5 is required when purchasing.

Visitor

  • The Leap Visitor Card is a convenient public transport ticket for tourists and visitors to Dublin.
  • Get unlimited travel for your selected time period on Dublin City Bus services (operated by Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland), Luas, DART and Commuter Rail.
