Travel around Dublin with one card

The TFI Leap Card can be used to pay for travel around Dublin on public transport services, including:

  • Bus Éireann
  • Dublin Bus
  • Go‑Ahead Ireland
  • TFI Luas
  • DART and commuter rail services within the Dublin area

Simple and cheaper fares

By using your TFI Leap Card, you can travel around Dublin using the TFI 90 minute fare:

  • Adults: €2.00
  • Young adults aged 19–25 and students: €1.00
  • Children: €0.65

Travel outside Dublin

You can also use your TFI Leap Card on:

  • Commuter and rural services operated by Bus Éireann
  • TFI Local Link Louth Meath Fingal services
  • Commercial bus operators

  • Swords Express (City centre to Swords)
  • Matthews.ie
    – Dublin to Laytown, Bettystown and Southgate
    – Dublin to Drogheda and Dundalk, including IFSC, UCD and DCU
  • Wexford Bus
    – Wexford to Dublin
    – Wexford to Waterford
    – local town services
  • Ashbourne Connect
  • Collins Coaches
  • Route 139 Naas to Blanchardstown
  • J J Kavanagh and Sons Route 737 Dublin Airport to Dublin City to Naas

There is no discount on single fares purchased on Expressway services.
The TFI Leap Card can be used as a payment method on these services.

Dublin uses four fare zones.
The fare you pay depends on the number of zones travelled.

Discounted fares

  • Adult TFI Leap Card single fares are up to 30% cheaper than cash single fares
  • Young adults aged 19–25 and students can travel at 50% discount

  • Children aged 0–4 travel free on TFI services
  • Children aged 5–8 travel free with a Child TFI Leap Card

The TFI 90 Minute Fare applies to most journeys in Zone 1 on bus, train and TFI Luas services.

  • Children up to and including 18: €0.65
